Predicting the Risk of Floods in Texas

In July of 2025, hundreds of people in Kerr County, Texas were affected by the flash floods that occurred due to the heavy rain on the weekend of July 4th. In fact, emergency response teams were not even prepared for the magnitude of flooding that would occur, due to the lack of a perceived hazard of floods in that region. This article investigates the areas of the highest flood risk in Texas.
